(Options: Day Cooking Classes, Wine Tours, Longer Stays) Bordeaux, France - 3 nights Available April to November
We equate "wine" with "Bordeaux" with good reason. This UNESCO and World Heritage site is renowned not only for its incredible wine production but for its two thousand year old history, beautiful architecture and breathtaking landscapes. Enjoy a three night stay indulging in fine cuisine, Bordeaux wines and the French “Art de vivre”. Stay in gorgeous accommodations, explore the area, learn about the finest in food and wine and participate in hands-on cooking classes and wine tastings.

Suzanne will be your hostess and instructor during your stay. Her personal story begins with wine - always a good start! She was a managing director of a vineyard for several years and has had intensive wine education training, learning oenology and the history of wine, soil science, and everything about the very complicated French wine classifications. She became a “wine expert” and started her own business teaching professional wine tasting. After moving to Bordeaux to a gorgeous Second Empire castle, Suzanne began her own business focusing on cooking classes and wine education. The Chateau not only has a beautiful reception room for tastings and other kind of functions but now has a professional kitchen in the "Orangerie" accommodating up to 12 students for hands-on classes. Suzanne was tutored by a fantastic woman who once managed a duck farm and has taught Suzanne everything there is to know about duck and its many preparations including the famous foie gras and "confits". But duck is not her only specialty and Suzanne has a wonderful variety of very French and very simple family recipes to share with you!
