Luberon, France - 3 nights

Treat yourself to a three night stay in a fabulous Relais and Chateaux accommodation in the Luberon. Enjoy cooking classes from a talented 2 star Michelin chef, wine tastings and gourmet meals. This is a perfect little escape if you'd like to visit other parts of France with a short stay in this beautiful area of Provence. You can also extend your stay if you'd like to stay a bit longer.


This sophisticated and elegant bastide is in the heart of the Luberon. The rooms are beautifully furnished and are named after famous French authors. The property offers magnificent views over this magical little village.

 

The itinerary below offers cooking classes and activities with enough time for relaxation and relishing in the beauty of this prestigious hotel.

 

 

 

THREE NIGHT ITINERARY

 

DAY ONE - SUNDAY


Arrival on your own to your luxury Relais & Chateaux accommodation after 4pm.

 

You will be welcomed with a three course gourmet dinner with drinks included (water, wine, coffee).

 

Overnight in a charming room. 

 

 

DAY TWO - MONDAY

 

Breakfast followed by your first hands on cooking class. 

 

You will gather wild herbs of the Luberon, natural essences and edible flowers with one of the chefs who will accompany you in the gardens or hills surrounding the Domaine to describe, taste and pick herbs and plants.

 

·                   Meat of the region : cooking and presentation of the various pieces

·                   Fish of Provence and sauces : How to choose fish and prepare them with sauces

·                   Seasonal vegetables : origin, preparation, cooking, seasoning

·                   A full menu is prepared in the kitchen, with a completely hands on lesson

 


Prior to lunch there will be a wine tasting with a sommelier. A three course gourmet lunch follows with drinks included (water, wine, coffee)

        

In the afternoon enjoy some free relaxing time 

 

Overnight in a charming room at the bastide.

 

 

 

DAY THREE - TUESDAY

 

This morning is your second hands on cooking class which will focus on:

 

·                   Treats and sweets

·                   Desserts flavored with infused plants

·                   The art of bread : cereals of yesterday, spelt, millet

 

The class is led by the Chef or the Chef Pâtissier. A dessert is prepared as well as bread (the Chef has 4 special bread recipes of his creation). 

Enjoy free time this afternoon on this beautiful property. 

 

This evening you will have a three course gourmet dinner, drinks included (water, wine, coffee)

 

Overnight in a charming room. 

 

 

DAY FOUR - WEDNESDAY

 

Check out this morning after breakfast by 11am.

 

You will say farewell, but a country picnic is included with a bottle of water. You will be advised on where to go and will go on your own to see the gorgeous viewpoints around Bonnieux. We strongly recommend the Cedar Forest that has breathtaking views of the Luberon area, as well as shady walking paths under the centenary cedar trees. 

 

Also, we suggest Wine of the Luberon : tasting at a local winemaker. The staff will recommend vineyards and guests go on their own. (This visit can also be done on any other day of the stay)

NON RESIDENTIAL DAY COOKING CLASS (excluding July and August)

 

If you already have a place to stay, consider a cooking experience with an experienced chef. 

 

Arrival to the property at 9am. The day will begin with a welcome coffee and an explanation of the program of the day. Along with the chef, you will discover the property's botanical garden (Vegetables, fruits, flowers & aromatic herbs). 

 

The cooking class begins at 9:30am and focuses on how to prepare a delectable menu for friends all the while being able to spend time with your guests as you prepare a fabulous meal. 

 

You will learn:

 

·          A vegetable, a herb

·          A fish, a sauce

·          A meat, a broth

·          A simple dessert…

·          Wine tasting in the wine cellar, Gourmet Lunch (drinks included)

 

Your experience will end around 3pm.

After availability is confirmed, a 40% deposit per person and the completed and submitted registration form will secure your reservation. Final payment is due no later than 45 days before your arrival date.
