There is not a better place to learn to cook authentic Provençal dishes and speak French, than in Provence! Join us for a delightful week of culinary arts, immersion in the French way of life and relaxation in this lovely region of France. Christine, your hostess, will be conducting both the cooking and French lessons. She
is a formal French teacher who has had experience teaching French at an international American
High School in the Caribbean and is anxious to teach you both the secrets of Provençal cuisine as well as some conversational French to help you get a feel for this beautiful and romantic language.
Sample Itinerary
Day One - Saturday
Arrival day. Meet your hosts, with time to relax.
5:00 PM - Visit of a wine cellar, wine tasting and opportunity to buy some wines. Visit of the village, your home for the week.
7:00 PM – Welcome drink based on different wines of the region with home made Provençal snacks. Overview of the program for the week.
8:00 PM – Dinner in a gourmet restaurant, one bottle of wine for the table included with the main course. Additional wines and spirits are on your own.
Back from the restaurant for a good night's rest.
Day Two - Sunday
9:30 AM - Breakfast
Free time till 4:00 PM in the village or walk in the vineyard to get a taste of the region.
Lunch or snack available in several small restaurants in the village
4:00 PM - Picking of Provençal herbs for cooking class, followed by hands on cookery class
7:00 PM - Time to relax
8:00 PM - Dinner prepared during cookery class, wine and coffee or tea included
Day Three - Monday
9:00 AM - Breakfast
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM - French Class: The numbers, adjectives and verbs - Free time till 4:00 PM
4:00 PM - Knowledge on French cheeses and cookery class preparing dishes with cheese as main ingredient
7:00 PM - Time to relax
8:00 PM - Dinner prepared during cookery class, wine and coffee or tea included
Day Four - Tuesday
9:00 AM - Breakfast
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM - French Class: Verbs at Present tense - Free time till 4 pm
4:00 PM - Knowledge of Olive and Olive oil; Hands on cookery class
7:00 PM - Time to relax
8:00 PM - Dinner prepared during cookery class, wine and coffee or tea included
Day Five - Wednesday
9:00 AM - Breakfast
Free time today – day trip or car rental can be reserved prior to arrival such as discovery of the Luberon, market in St Remy de Provence, Uzes and Roman aquaduct region, day trip to Marseille with High speed train, or Mont Ventoux (1910m).
Day Six - Thursday
9:00 AM - Breakfast
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM - French Class: Verbs (past tense) - Free time till 4 pm
4:00 PM - Hands on cookery class
7:00 PM - Time to relax
8:00 PM - Dinner prepared during cookery class, wine and coffee or tea included

Seven - Friday
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM - French Class: Verbs (Past tense) - Free time till 7:30 PM
7:00 PM - Drink in a bar in Avignon
8:00 PM – Dinner in a gourmet restaurant in Avignon. Wine and spirits are on your own.
Day Eight - Saturday
9:30 AM - Breakfast
Packing and check out before 3:00 PM. It is also possible to extend your stay but you must reserve prior to arrival.
*Guests are advised to have their own rental cars for free time.

*Four (4) hands-on cookery classes (2-3 hours) followed by;
*Four (4) dinners at bed and breakfast with local wine

*One (1) dinner in a local restaurant (wine and spirits not included)
*One (1) visit of village and vineyard and cellars plus a wine tasting (you will
be provided with a map of this tiny village and a few locations pointed out to
you where you will be welcome in English for your wine tasting. The village has
no less than 33 private cellars, only for rose wine!)
*One (1) free day in Avignon on Friday afternoon and evening (as a suggestion
-you will be provided with a detailed map of the historic part of the city; no
worries! All is very detailed and Avignon is a middle size town
*On Wednesday we can book a day trip to the Camargue, the Luberon (the area
where Peter Mayle wrote his book “A Year in Provence” and filmed the movie “A
Good Year” with Russell Crowe) area for you, or just ask your hostess for advice

CANCELLATION POLICY
If client cancels within 30 days of arrival date, 50% of the value
of the package will be returned to the client (less the $50 per
person non-refundable booking fee). If sufficient notice is given
(before the balance is paid) and the clients wish to change the
dates, they may do so as long as those dates are available. Payment
will be applied to register for another date or package, but must be
used within 6 months and is subject to any changes in price.
Travel insurance is highly recommended.
