WALKING TOUR AND COOKING CLASS NEAR THE SPANISH STEPS

Your day begins around 8:30am where you will meet at the St. Regis Hotel (Via Vittorio E. Orlando 3) for the drive to the medieval village and what a day it will be! You will see Rome through the eyes of a local as your chef takes you through the cobblestone streets of the Eternal City searching for the freshest ingredients in the local neighborhoods that only a native would know. This is the real Rome and you will see it in a way that other tourists don't. The sites will not only include the local merchants but you will also pass by the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Pietra, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Jewish ghetto and the fantastic Campo de Fiori.

Next you are on your way to the chef's home for your cooking class. The home is located at the top of the monumental stairway of 138 steps, known as The Spanish Steps. The home, previously owned by a princess, offers a warm environment with breathtaking views. You will tantalize your tastebuds with the fresh ingredients you picked out and prepared with your chef who has a passion for cooking that will be shared with you. Your day will end around 3pm-3:30pm.

A FULL DAY COOKING EXPERIENCE IN A MEDIEVAL VILLAGE

Your special day begins at around 8:30 in the morning where you will meet at the St. Regis Hotel (Via Vittorio E. Orlando 3) for the drive to the medieval village. Your chef for the day will take you to an ancient village dating back to the Roman era. Although it is only 30 minutes outside of Rome, once inside this medieval village, you will feel like you have entered another world. You will be introduced to local merchants where you can hand-pick the freshest ingredients of the day. You will then go back to a lavish garden to pick fresh herbs.

Once inside, your chef will explain in depth how it is one cooks, but more so, how one cooks well. You will be taught how to make mouth watering Italian pasta and will be encouraged to be creative with the ingredients of the season. With detailed explanations the chef will teach you things that you will be able to bring home with you. From the appetizers, to the first course, the second course and of course to dessert, the chef will guide you through the secrets of traditional Italian cuisine. After class enjoy a fabulous meal of your creations.

SAUSAGE MAKING CLASS IN A MEDIEVAL VILLAGE

The day begins at around 8:30 in the morning where you will meet at the St. Regis Hotel (Via Vittorio E. Orlando 3) for the drive to the medieval village. You will be taken to an ancient village dating back to the Roman era. The morning is spent on basic butchery. There will be a brief look at health and safety aspects of dealing with meat, and the equipment needed. As the Italians have been making Sausages for centuries, we are delighted to offer this kind of course on how to make fresh and cured sausages the Italian way.

The class is conducted by a chef who has been brought up in a culture that respects tradition and values the knowledge of the simple ways of their ancestors to create some of the most sought after antipasti and meals with sausages - known and varied worldwide. Your chef will explain what goes into a sausage and demonstrates all the stages in making sausages. This is followed by an interactive, 'hands-on' session where everybody has a go at inventing their own sausage recipe, testing it, stuffing and linking up their own sausages to take home! Now it's time to eat!!!
