Sant'Agata, Italy - 4 or 6 nights
Available year round

Learn to cook traditional and authentic dishes from southern Italy and Sorrento by participating in hands-on cooking classes in a spacious professional kitchen. You will stay in a luxurious five star boutique hotel with a gorgeous view located in the beautiful Sorrento peninsula. The hotel was once an ancient villa that was built in 1892 and was also the birthplace of your host who is also one of the cooking instructors. With the use of local and organic vegetables and the finest of ingredients, you will learn recipes from both your host as well as a talented chef. Together, their partnership will help you discover this delicious Neapolitan cuisine.

Choose from a four or six night itinerary both which include hands-on cooking classes, foodie visits and excursions to points of interest in this beautiful area of the Amalfi coast, where the Bay of Naples meets the Bay of Salerno. Clients have told me that this getaway is perfect for those wanting a balance of cooking classes, a bit of sightseeing with enough time to relax and enjoy your surroundings on your own. Enjoy exquisite food and wine, gorgeous accommodations with an impeccable staff whose main goal is to ensure your comfort.

Please note: For those departing on the last day before 8am, or arriving after 8pm on arrival day, there is an additional charge of 50€ to be paid at the property.

Pick up from Naples airport or Naples Train Station.

Arrival at your beautiful hotel. You can relax or take a short walk to familiarize yourself with your new surroundings, perhaps to take a short walk around the area.

Tonight there will be a splendid welcome dinner at the elegant restaurant in the hotel.

Enjoy a wonderful buffet breakfast of quiches, cheeses, meats, fruit, yogurt, tarts, cakes and much more!

In the morning you will head to a local farm, where they have been producing top quality olive oil and mozzarella cheese for years, and where the owners have been making mozzarella cheese. A light lunch including this wonderfully fresh and light cheese follows, with a tasting of olive oil and limoncello.

Return to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation.

This evening you will enjoy your first cooking lesson, followed by dinner of your creations with wine.

Enjoy a fantastic buffet breakfast followed by your second cooking class at around 10:30am. Packed lunch prepared by your chef.

In the early afternoon, pickup to enjoy an excursion to the enchanting Amalfi Coast.

Free time for shopping and leisure.

Return to the hotel for a bit of relaxation before dinner based on your morning culinary efforts with wine.

Buffet breakfast.

At 10.00  departure for a winery visit with a wine tasting and lunch.

Return to the hotel

Dinner tonight at a superb restaurant, Don Alfonso 1890, within walking distance from your hotel.

Buffet breakfast followed by a 10.00 am third cooking class with lunch to follow based on your efforts. (For those on the four-night program, transfer back to Naples after breakfast).

Afternoon on your own. We suggest to perhaps take an optional tour to Pompeii (for an additional transportation cost)

Dinner on your own.

Buffet Breakfast.

Today will be a full-day visit to the enchanting isle of Capri, weathering permitting.

You will have a professional English speaking guide that will show you the best of this magic island. (Please note: Transportation Costs on the island and lunch will be on your own).

Pizza class at 6.00 pm (30 minutes are spent making dough – 1 hour waiting for it to rise). Dinner will be a pizza dinner of your creations.

Breakfast and departure from the hotel to the Naples airport or train station.

*The content or order of the itinerary may change depending on dates, availability of services or activities, local festivals/holidays, weather constraints, etc. Menus are samples and may vary according to the season

If you already have your accommodation and are unable to participate in the residential cooking program, you can enjoy a morning or afternoon hands-on cooking class at the Relais. The class can begin at 10am if you prefer a morning class, or 4pm if you prefer an afternoon cooking class, and will last about 2 hours.

You will learn to make an antipasto (appetizer), fresh pasta as the "primi piatti", a fish or meat dish as the "secondo piatti" and of course dessert (dolce!). Following the class you will enjoy the fruits of your labor and will now be ready to easily replicate at home!

Hi Jo-Ann - We wanted to let you know that we had an AMAZING time at the cooking school. My mother and I could not have had a better time. Paola and Simonetta were such wonderful hosts and teachers. We were treated like family. The house and property were beautiful. The hands-on cooking classes were so much fun...we learned so many great recipes that I cannot wait to test on my friends back home. I will definitely be recommending this experience to all of my friends and colleagues. Thank you so much for all of your help in setting up this once-in-a-lifetime dream vacation. It is something neither one of us will ever forget!
