Come to Ravello, a world famous city known for its music, history and enchanting sights overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Here you will learn about Italy's world famous wines by your host, Gennaro. Gennaro is a professionally certified Sommelier and a member of the prestigious AIS, a national association of Certified Sommeliers and one of your hosts for the evening, along with his lovely bride Chiara, daughter of the world famous Mamma Agata whose cooking program "The Flavours of the Amalfi Coast" is also offered through Active Gourmet Holidays.
 About your visit and tasting with Gennaro
You will receive:
*Three (3) hour instructional wine class
*Tasting of three (3) varietals of regional wines from Campania
*Interpreter and hostess
*Information packet
*A wonderful selection of appetizers paired with your wines during your tasting
Food Pairing
 You will be treated to a wonderful selection of fresh, seasonal foods to enjoy with your wine, including:
*Artisan cheeses and salami served with honey, sweet onions and artisan breads and taralli (a dry bread that is skilfully baked with nuts, olive oil and wine)
*Mamma Agata’s famous sun-dried tomatoes, eggplant and ripe olives, drizzled with fresh pressed extra virgin olive oil
Tasting and Structure
 Corkage – Learn to open a bottle of wine like a professional
Give it space – Learn the proper time to let a wine breathe and the reasoning behind it
Stemware - Learn the proper wine glass to use for all occasions
Tasting – Learn how to really TASTE your wine and let the wines dance in your mouth
Food Pairing – Learn how to plan for a special occasion or every day dinner through wine and food pairings
Body and Structure - Learn to distinguish a varietal of wine by its inherent characteristics, method of production and learn to identify and appreciate the delicious wines from Campania.
 And last but not least, you will be enthralled by the intrinsic beauty and peaceful qualities of this amazing location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Gennaro and his family will welcome you and warm your hearts and your palette. You will leave and upon your return home, you will be longing for your next visit to the Amalfi Coast and the Hidden Treasure of this very special area of Italy.

A minimum of 4 participants is required to run this tour and the tour is limited to a maximum of 10 participants

BOOKING INFORMATION
After availability is confirmed, a 50% per person deposit (50% of which is non-refundable) and the completed and submitted registration form is required to register in the course. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will send you a confirmation, if space is available. Final payment is due in full no later than 60 days before the course begins.
